Hashimoto’s Healing Tools
Most people approach Hashimoto’s by trying to manage symptoms - more supplements, more protocols, more restriction.
But symptoms aren’t random, and they’re not something your body is trying to work against you with.
The real shift happens when you understand the root cause.
That said, there are tools that can support your body while you move through that process and that’s exactly what you’ll find here.
These are the products I personally use and recommend, chosen for their quality, simplicity, and how they support the body without overwhelming it.. Recommended to me by my naturopath or functional medicine doctor.
Disclaimer: This is not medical advice. Please consult your doctor before taking or using any of these recommended products.
Supplementation
I did both Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis and blood testing to confirm my deficiencies and understand what I needed to supplement my body with.
Having gut problems, my body wasn’t absorbing nutrients properly.
So it’s important to see what your body actually needs and supplement correctly so you’re not depleting yourself.
Often people with Hashimoto’s can also have gut health issues meaning it’s difficult to absorb key nutrients. Also Vitamin D deficinecy can also increse thyroid antibodies.
I supplemented with:
Magnesium Glycinate — Thorne
Vitamin D — NOW
Vitamin B Complex — Thorne Stress Less
Liposomal Vitamin C — NOW
Plant-Based Iron — Global Healing
Collagen — Vital Proteins Plain
Digestive Enzymes
Saccharomyces Boulardii
For me, anything that helped my body break food down more easily helped reduce the load on my digestive system.
When your body is already inflamed, stressed, and under-resourced, digestion can feel like a huge energetic demand.
Digestive enzymes helped support that process.
At one point, I was also deficient in chromium and manganese, but these have since regulated.
This is why it’s important not to over-supplement when it’s no longer needed.
Your body changes.
Your support should change with it.
Non-Toxic Living
I don’t believe toxins are the real root cause of Hashimoto’s.
And I didn’t notice a huge difference when I converted to a non-toxic life 10 years ago.
But even though I didn’t see a noticeable difference, I didn’t want to add any extra stress to my body while healing.
I like to reduce toxic load, but if I slip up or have a guilty pleasure, the key is not to feel guilty.
We live in a toxic world, and my belief is that if our body is healed and resilient, we can cope with every day toxins if we need to.
