Two Types of Souls: Are You Here for the Experience or on a Mission?

Through my work, I've noticed there are two types of souls in the world.

Neither is better or worse. Just different.

One type is here for the experience. They aren't attached to the outcome of life. They're here for the ride, surrendered to whatever comes their way.

The other type knows they're here on a mission. They've known since they were little that they're different, that they're here to do something big. They can't rest until they've achieved "the thing."

These are the curious ones. The ones asking the big questions. The ones thinking outside the box. They just know they're made for more.

I'm the second type.

The fear of not reaching your potential

From when I was little, I knew I was here for something.

I've carried this background noise my whole life. This quiet fear of not reaching my full potential. Of not quite being the best I could be.

Maybe you know it too.

For me, I can't think of anything worse than being on my deathbed thinking I wasted this precious life. That I didn't use my gifts. That I didn't serve in the way I was meant to.

Some people call this an old soul thing, not wanting to come back and do it all again. Some call it a Starseed mission, just knowing in your soul you're meant to do something big for humanity. Some people simply don't want to waste this one life we are given.

As much as this feeling carries a kind of pressure, I'm grateful for it. It pushes me. It's pulled me out of my comfort zone more times than I can count, and motivated me to move when I probably would have otherwise stayed stagnant.

What the dying regret most

When I read Bronnie Ware's The Top Five Regrets of the Dying, one stood out. People, at the very end, wishing they'd had the courage to live a life that was actually theirs, not the one everyone else expected of them.

It got me thinking about how many people don't live for themselves. How many people spend their one precious life on earth unhappy and unfulfilled, because they're living on someone else's terms.

And what a shame that is.

I want everyone to be as fully free and unleashed as they can be. Living a life that's truly theirs. All completely embracing their uniqueness, knowing that none of us are meant to be the same, or have the same kind of life.

Where your purpose lives in your chart

That's why I'm so passionate about the Incarnation Cross in Human Design.

It's the pot of gold in our chart. It literally shows you your full potential, in plain sight, so you can't miss it. So you know exactly what you're aiming for.

One of the most fulfilling things I get to do is guide people like this to their soul's deepest purpose and steer them toward their highest potential. And it's so rewarding.

I won't tell you exactly what to do with your life. I'll give you the map, so you can walk it fully and on your own terms.
